Further to the advice provided in October 2019 regarding the End-of-Support (EOS) date for Traffic Insight, which can be found here, we have extended the EOS date for Traffic Insight v6.5 software-as-a-service (SaaS) and enterprise server application (Enterprise) until 30 November 2021, in light of the impact of COVID to many of our customers. Included in this advice is the EOS for Beonic legacy Pushbox and Event Logger products and related non-IP (relay based) and discontinued people counting devices listed below.
EOL Legacy Devices and Products:
Skyfii strives to provide the best products and services to meet our customers’ needs. As technology evolves there will be cases where older products no longer meet market requirements or standards. The decision to discontinue a product is based on a number of factors including third-party manufacturer’s product discontinuation, third-party software components are no longer supported, products no longer conform to internet/network standards and technology or do not comply with security standards, or the introduction of a newer product with more advanced features and functionality, software or network security.
Skyfii IO is our next generation cloud based SaaS solution offering high availability and enterprise SLAs to cater to all your traffic counting, queue monitoring and occupancy management needs. In addition, regular product releases deliver new features and enhancements ensuring the Skyfii IO platform remains a “best-in-class” solution for managing your people counting and behavioural data.
After 30 November 2021, Traffic Insight v6.5 will no longer be supported, the legacy SaaS will be decommissioned and you will no longer be able to access traffic reports via the web portal, receive data via the API or receive email reports. If you are using the legacy enterprise server application, the application will no longer be supported and you will not receive upgrades or security updates.
In addition, any installed people counting infrastructure comprising Beonic legacy Pushbox and Event Logger devices including any non-IP (relay based) people counting devices (collectively Legacy Devices) will no longer be supported, these devices will need to be replaced/upgraded with optical or thermal people counting sensors that support direct IP connectivity and TLS/SSL encrypted data transmission (Supported Devices).
To continue to access your traffic counting data and avoid disruption you will need to migrate to the Skyfii IO platform prior to the deadline, this may also require the upgrade of your Legacy Devices to Supported Devices which meet our information security controls. Our team will work with you to plan the migration and ensure a seamless transition, with little to no disruption to your existing People Counting solution.
