Further to the advice provided in September 2021 regarding the End-of-Service Life (EOSL) date for the iinside BLE/IoT based Queue Analyzer software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering, which can be found here.
We extended the EOSL date for iinside BLE/IoT Queue Analyzer SaaS services until 30 June 2023 in light of the COVID-19 impact. Included in this advice is the EOS for legacy WiFi, BLE and IoT sensors (Legacy Devices).
Skyfii strives to provide the best products and services to meet our customers’ needs. As technology evolves, there will be cases where older products no longer meet market requirements or standards.
The decision to discontinue a product is based on a number of factors including third-party manufacturer’s product discontinuation, third-party software components are no longer supported, products no longer conform to internet/network standards and technology or do not comply with security standards, or the introduction of a newer product with more advanced features and functionality, software or network security.
Since the acquisition of the CrowdVision business in July 2021, Skyfii has been actively engaged with our clients to phase out their legacy BLE-based Queue Analyzer systems and upgrade them to our latest LiDAR-based Crowd Flow Management System (CFMS) and Skyfii IO, our next generation cloud-based SaaS solution offering high availability and enterprise SLAs to cater to all your queue monitoring, desk utilisation and occupancy management needs.
In addition, regular product releases deliver new features and enhancements ensuring the Skyfii IO platform remains a “best-in-class” solution for managing your queue times, people counts, throughput, and behavioural data.
After 30 June 2023, iinside BLE-based Queue Analyzer SaaS services will be decommissioned. You will no longer be able to access the dashboard or reports via the web portal, receive data via the API, or receive email reports.
In addition, any installed BLE sensor infrastructure will no longer be supported. These devices will need to be replaced/upgraded with LiDAR and/or people counting sensors that support direct IP connectivity and TLS/SSL encrypted data transmission (Supported Devices).
To continue to access your queue times, people count, throughput data, and avoid disruption you will need to upgrade your Legacy Devices to Supported Devices that meet our information security controls and migrate to the Skyfii IO platform prior to the deadline.
Our team will work with you to plan the upgrade/migration and ensure a seamless transition, with little to no disruption to your crowd flow management system.
